Remians Australia is the official Australian chapter of the alumni of Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC), formerly known as Residential Model School, Dhaka—an institution established in 1960 and widely recognised as a benchmark of academic excellence, discipline, and leadership. Over the decades, DRMC has built an outstanding academic record, consistently achieving exceptional results and nurturing generations of students who have gone on to become distinguished leaders, professionals, and contributors both in Bangladesh and across the globe.
The identity of being a “Remian” carries a profound sense of pride, grounded in the institution’s rich heritage and its unwavering commitment to excellence. Established in 2011, Remians Australia was formed to bring together former students of DRMC residing across Australia. It serves as a dynamic platform to strengthen alumni connections, preserve the traditions and values of the college, and foster a vibrant and supportive community.
Remians Australia maintains a close and respectful relationship with its parent alumni body, the Old Remian Welfare Association (ORWA). Through this affiliation, the organisation remains aligned with the broader global Remian network and contributes, where possible, to initiatives that support the continued growth and reputation of DRMC.
The association actively organises a wide range of social, cultural, and community-focused events, including Eid reunions, family gatherings, and sporting activities. These initiatives promote unity, engagement, and a strong sense of belonging among members and their families.
