The Residential Model School Dhaka (RMSD) since its inception in the year 1960 is striving towards becoming a world class centre of academic excellence and learning in the primary and secondary education to groom students to become future leaders in different organisations of the country as well as abroad. Since its inception the school has grown tremendously both in prides and in its successes. The achievements of the school are the combined efforts of its students and staff. Many former students, who now live in Sydney and other parts of Australia, are very keen to maintain a link with their Alma mater. The school is also eager to maintain a close link with its former students.

An Australian chapter of the Remian Alumni Association (REMIANS AUSTRALIA) was formed in 2011, to foster links and to establish contacts with the School and former students and staff living in Australia. The association will act as a nexus for guidance and help, including contributions towards the development of the School. It will liaise with the school, organise social and cultural events, will make necessary publications including newsletters, and raise funds in an effort to see the school flourish further as a reputable centre of academic excellence.
